The Lodge at Carfraemills

Cookery Demonstrations, Flower Arranging Workshops and Special places to Visit.

A great day out which includes coffee, cookery demonstration, lunch, a glass of wine and usually an optional afternoon activity! Prices are variable but start from £35.00 per person.

For over 10 years , we have been arranging Cookery Demonstrations at Carfraemill. They are usually held in early summer with lots of picnic and buffet ideas for summer entertaining and also pre Christmas with recipes to inspire throughout the festive season.  The summer demonstrations are usually combined with a visit to an interesting house or garden in our local area and the winter demonstrations  have the option a flower arranging workshop in the afternoon.

We are very grateful to Carolyn Oliver , our regular cookery demonstrator who is always  full of enthusiasm and new ideas.

The demonstrations cover all abilities from beginners to advanced and although we use our aga at Carfraemill for the demonstrations, owning an aga is not essential as recipes are suitable for all types of cooker.  

They are extremely popular and can only be booked on a first come, first served basis.

Enjoy a unique experience at this gem of a country house, not normally open to the public and very much still a family home.

Monday 9th June and Tuesday 10th June with Carolyn Oliver and Jo Sutherland fron 10am to 3pm.

Barbeque cookery demonstration, coffee, lunch, guided tour of house and use of grounds and gardens.
