Good old fashioned simple food  very tasty and well presented food is the key to our success at Carfraemill!

All our country dinner plates  - mince and dumplings, steak pie, roast rib of Scottish Border beef, roast chicken with oatmeal stuffing, wonderful fresh battered haddock with chips, scampi, vegetable lasagne and baked aga ham are all very popular. Prices range from £8.50 to £10.50.  We also serve slimming specials  at £8.50 and lots of healthy salads at £10.00.  We are delighted to cater for special dietary needs.

Our Steak Out and Grill Selection are also very popular.  All our prime Scottish steaks are sourced locally, matured for at least 21 days and chargrilled to your liking.  We serve sirloin, fillet,  ribeye and T bone steaks priced from £15.50 to £27.50 according to size and cut.  We are members of the prestigious Scottish Beef Club.
Choose from a variety of sauces and accompaniments to go with your steak.

From the chargrill we also offer prime Border lamb steakspriced at £15.00, Ayrshire gammon steaks,  £13.00, marinated chicken,  £12.00, homemade 100% lean Scottish mince beefburger,  £9.00 and our homemade bean and vegetable burger, £8.00.
