Our aim at Carfraemill is to offer all our guests a warm and friendly welcome, excellent service in a relaxed atmosphere, exceptional attention to detail, great comfort, really good Scottish Country food and excellent value for money.

In order to realise this ambition we are committed to an ongoing structured development programme using both in house and external staff trainers.  We analyse feedback from customers, mystery shoppers and the Scottish Tourist Board Quality Assurance.  Comments are acted upon and become points for subsequent staff training sessions.  We have worked hard towards recognition as a “Scotland’s Best Service Business” and in the year 2000 we were delighted to be the 1st business in Scotland to receive this prestigious award.

The following year we were shortlisted for a Scottish Tourism Thistle Award and at a glittering ceremony and dinner hosted by Sally Magnusson in The Edinburgh International Conference Centre we were thrilled to win the award for Small Company Training.  Following on from this Jo was invited to attend a special reception for 1000 Great Scots at Holyrood Palace hosted by Her Majesty The Queen in her Jubliee year – exciting times!
