The Marquee

At Carfraemill we can remove the stress of organising a Marquee event.
For 150-300 guests we can offer our elegant fully lined, pine floored Marquee at an unbeatable price.

The hire of the Marquee also includes:-

The hire of tables, chairs, tablecloths, crockery and cutlery, glasses, buffet tables, stage for band, fully equipped bar with refrigeration and heating. Years of experience in catering have produced and efficient, focussed Marquee team who are ready and willing to meet your every requirement.

The Marquee is suitable for weddings, evening receptions, family celebrations, corporate and charity events.

Marquee Hire

Evening reception only

Hire includes the Carfraemill DJ - £1500

Includes all of the following:-

  • Entrance awning with glass panelled French doors to:-
  • 110’ x 50’ clearspan frame Marqueee lined with chandelier lighting and fully floored with interlocking pine flooring.
  • Window walls
  • Fully fitted bar with refrigeration
  • Stage for band (see note on entertainment)
  • 4’, 5’ or 6’ round tables
  • Buffet tables
  • Fully upholstered chairs
  • White linen tablecloths
  • China, glass and cutlery
  • 2 x premier 170 ducted low decibel high capacity heaters with diffuser gas bottles
  • Licence until 12 midnight
  • For over 250 people it may be necessary to hire extra tables, chairs crockery, cutlery, service tent etc. Price on application.

Minimum Hire £2,000

  • Printed wedding menus, table plan and place cards
  • Cake stand and knife
  • Master of ceremonies if required
  • Extensive car parking facilities

For over 200 people it may be necessary to hire extra tables, chairs, crockery and cutlery – Price on application.

 

Service of hot meals

It will be necessary to hire the following:-

  • Service tent
  • Hot cupboard (s), serving hot counters, additional cooker(s)/oven(s) etc
  • Price on application.

Drinks receptions and catering for Marquee functions

Please use our Wedding/Function Brochure as a guide for drinks packages, menu choices, hot and cold buffets, carveries, barbeques, finger buffets and buffets for evening receptions.

We will be delighted to give help and advice about suitable menus and drinks for functions in the Marquee.  Please contact us before you make your choices.

Floral Decorations

Carfraemill does not provide decorations for the Marquee but we would be delighted to provide you with information about our excellent local florist, who can provide bridal bouquets, button holes and floral arrangements.  Scottish Borders Parks Department (tel: 01896 661770) are happy to hire out large flower tubs and hanging baskets.  Various companies provide balloons.

Entertainment

All entertainment in the Marquee is governed by local licensing laws.  An occasional licence is required for each event and various conditions apply with reference to noise and public safety.

It is essential that all bands/entertainment comply with the regulations.  A contract detailing the terms and conditions of the licensing board is required to be signed by the customer and also the entertainment provider for each Marquee event.

All events must finish by 12 midnight.
