Your wedding day is a very special day and we would be privileged to be part of it. The Lodge, Carfraemill is a family business owned and managed by Jim and Jo Sutherland. Our aim is to provide excellent food, excellent service and excellent value for money. We specialise in really good home cooked food made from the finest fresh ingredients and using as far as possible excellent produce from the Scottish Borders.
The Lodge has been decorated to the highest standard in warm and inviting colours. The ten bedrooms (with immaculate en-suite bathrooms) are a delight – luxurious yet unpretentious, elegant yet informal offering the very best of Borders hospitality.
We take great pride in offering a friendly efficient and personalised service.
Jo or Susan Thorburn our Function Manager will be delighted to show you around the hotel. They will go through your requirements step by step and guide you through your special day. We will be happy to recommend other good quality accommodation in the area, florists, photographers, musical entertainment, wedding cars, taxis, coach hire, hairdressers and beauticians.
We cater for weddings of 2-300 people in The Gallery, The Campbell Room or our elegant Marquee which is situated adjacent to the hotel for the summer and autumn season.
The Gallery upstairs in Carfraemill is just perfect for a small intimate wedding while the wood panelled Campbell Room is a delightful venue for up to 140 people. For larger weddings or evening receptions of 150 people or more the Marquee is a real treat.
We are happy to cater for religious and civil ceremonies within the hotel, the Marquee or grounds surrounding the hotel and we can provide details of local church ministers and our local registrar.
Each wedding at Carfraemill is different and special. Whether you wish to have an informal wedding with close friends and family, a traditional more formal day or perhaps a big party in the evening to celebrate your marriage, we along with our friendly staff will help you every inch of the way to have a memorable and very happy occasion.
